Banyan's Breakfast Smoothie

The ratio below yields perfect results every time. If strawberries and raspberries aren't your favorite, try different combinations such as: peaches and orange juice; frozen grapes and grape juice or blueberries and apple juice... Using frozen fruit instead of adding ice, keeps the smoothie rich in fruit flavor while still remaining a "frozen" beverage. Cut your banana and strawberries into 1 inch pieces and place in the freezer (along with your raspberries) the night before, or for a minimum of 3 hours.
  • 1 cup of orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp of lime juice
  • ½ cup of strawberries
  • ½ cup of raspberries
  • 1 medium banana
  1. After your fruit has had a chance to freeze, place the juices in the blender first, then add frozen fruit and blend. Serve immediately.
  2. If you have leftovers, you can freeze into a ice-pop for an on-the-go breakfast treat with easy clean-up.
